Rain-swept moors over TalybontPosted by Hoshisato (Ealing, United Kingdom) on 12 April 2009 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. The worst weather I have been out photographing in: storm and rain on top of a mountain ridge is a recipe for problems keeping your lens clear of raindrops. Stitched together from 4 photos. One of the problems I have always had was how to find great photo locations while having little time to spend in a town or country. A Travel Guide will give you the obvious shots, but limiting myself to those I never found satisfying. The solution I found is to scan Google Earth for the area I intend to travel for those little blue markers that indicate uploaded photos. If I find something I like, I note the latitude and longitude and enter those as waypoints (favourites) in my GPS unit. To keep the system going, I have uploaded some of my photos to Panoramio which is the site Google uses to allow people to upload geotagged photos to Google Earth. Please have a look at the photos I uploaded. Thanks for all your comments, please keep them coming. You will do me a great favour by visiting my black and white gallery or blog. For my trip reports, please visit my Travel Blog page. I'll be in NL for the holidays if I can make it through the forecast snowstorms, see you in 2010! Update: I've not been able to reach Dover for two days in a row now, P&O ferries are not able to take any calls, I have no idea when I'll manage to make it to NL ^_^;;
