Has nobody ever warned you about two things you should never do in Japan while going up on a escalator or stairs?

1. Never take pictures while riding up a escalator or climbing up a flight of stairs;
2. Keep you head down (look downward instead of up) while doing No. 1

No kidding, that was what my son warned me NOT to do while I visited him there last Summer. And the reasons? See that woman in front of you? Go figure it out.... :-)
