North Sea Jazz Festival - Don Cherry

Posted by Hoshisato (Ealing, United Kingdom) on 4 January 2009 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

Don Cherry (1936 – 1995) with his trademark Pocket trumpet at the Trumpet-No-End jam-session at the North Sea Jazz Festival - Friday 8 July 1983. Talk about concentration. To the jazz loving people he is best known for his work with Ornette Coleman, but to others he is probably remembered as the stepfather of Neneh Cherry and Eagle-Eye Cherry.

Thanks for all your comments, please keep them coming. You will do me a great favour by visiting my black and white gallery or blog. For my trip reports, please visit my Travel Blog page.

I'll be in NL for the holidays if I can make it through the forecast snowstorms, see you in 2010! Update: I've not been able to reach Dover for two days in a row now, P&O ferries are not able to take any calls, I have no idea when I'll manage to make it to NL ^_^;;
