The last of the Pennine WayPosted by Hoshisato (Ealing, United Kingdom) on 29 November 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. After mentioning the Pennine Way a lot in my posts of scenes from the Peak District, I probably need to explain for the people outside the UK that it is a hiking trail of over 400km running from Edale, in the northern Derbyshire Peak District, north through the Yorkshire Dales and the Northumberland National Park, to end at Kirk Yetholm, just inside the Scottish border. We only did some day long hikes starting from the fabulous Upper Booth Farm campsite where we stayed. Thanks for all your comments, please keep them coming. You will do me a great favour by visiting my black and white gallery or blog. For my trip reports, please visit my Travel Blog page. I'll be in NL for the holidays if I can make it through the forecast snowstorms, see you in 2010! Update: I've not been able to reach Dover for two days in a row now, P&O ferries are not able to take any calls, I have no idea when I'll manage to make it to NL ^_^;;
