Kamikochi -The Yosemite of Japan #2Posted by Hoshisato (Ealing, United Kingdom) on 1 July 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. Just one of the many ponds in Kamikochi with a slight back-light. I have visited Japan many times and most of the time I spent in urban environments, assuming that all rivers and nature had been tamed by concrete and tetrapods. An easy mistake to make when you watch out of the window whilst riding the different shinkansen from Hakata to Hachinohe and back. I was proven completely wrong of course by visiting Kamikochi. ^_^;; Thanks for all your comments, please keep them coming. You will do me a great favour by visiting my black and white gallery or blog. For my trip reports, please visit my Travel Blog page. I'll be in NL for the holidays if I can make it through the forecast snowstorms, see you in 2010! Update: I've not been able to reach Dover for two days in a row now, P&O ferries are not able to take any calls, I have no idea when I'll manage to make it to NL ^_^;;
