Windmill in winter landscapePosted by Hoshisato (Ealing, United Kingdom) on 20 May 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. Still the same magical day when I took the winter river landscapes that I posted a couple of days ago. This windmill is actually pretty close to my Dad's home and as it had been so incredibly busy with photographers along the river IJssel, I was expecting hoards of them around the mill as well but there was nobody to be seen and there were no traces of anybody having been there. I did some browsing in Flickr and Webshots and it confirmed that every photographer worth his salt had been out there that day. So many photos of the frost covered trees taken on that very same day. It must have the same magical day all over Holland. ^_^;; Camera: Pentax MZ-3, lens: Sigma 28-300mm - 1:3.5-6.3 + ILFORD FP4+ Thanks for all your comments, please keep them coming. You will do me a great favour by visiting my black and white gallery or blog. For my trip reports, please visit my Travel Blog page. I'll be in NL for the holidays if I can make it through the forecast snowstorms, see you in 2010! Update: I've not been able to reach Dover for two days in a row now, P&O ferries are not able to take any calls, I have no idea when I'll manage to make it to NL ^_^;;
